PNG: Maritime and Waterways Safety Project

The proposed Maritime and Waterways Safety Project (the project) aims to enhance socio-economic opportunities in coastal regions, by improving the maritime safety environment, and providing safe, efficient and reliable sea transport services. The project provides for: (i) replaced, installed and maintained navigational aids (navaids); (ii) improved safety information infrastructure; (iii) improved maritime safety practice in communities; and (iv) efficient project management and capacity development of the NMSA. The Project will be implemented over a five year period from July 2013 to June 2018.
