Papua New Guinea Initial National Communication under the United Nation’s Framework Convention on Climate change

This Initial National Communication contains a series of activities implemented by the Government of Papua New Guinea (GoPNG) in consultation with communities and nongovernment organisations since 1998. The Office of the Environment and Conservation (OEC) was tasked to co-ordinate the implementation of the initiative with UNDP and the appointed Coordinator to manage the project. National country teams comprising both the Steering and Technical Committees were established with the support of government departments, universities, and assisted by the private sector and NGOs to complete the activities and reports under the Initial Communication.
